Kerr to Race On for GBR
Robbie Kerr will continue to race for A1 Team GBR, and will be the team's main driver for both races at the next round of A1 Grand Prix Estoril
The team originally announced the Kerr would race for the British squad in the first two meetings of the season at Brands Hatch and EuroSpeedway Lausitz, before the situation was reviewed ahead of Estoril.
However, Kerr's performance at Lausitz, where he climbed from 24th and last on the grid to finish second in the feature race, means the former British F3 champion will race on for the team.
Kerr qualified fourth, but went out at the first corner of the sprint race after an accident with Scott Speed.
Team boss John Surtees confirmed the decision to Autosport-Atlas.
Surtees said: "We experienced all circumstances in Germany, but Robbie drove very well to finish second from the back of the grid. So he will be in the car in Estoril."
The team's second driver, former McLaren Autosport Award winner Alex Lloyd, might get his chance during the race weekend however. Lloyd could pilot the second British chassis in the extra practice session to shake down the team's second cars.
