Interesting face offs in RoC draw

World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx will take on three times Champ Car World Series winner Sebastien Bourdais in the quarter-finals of today's Race of Champions

Priaulx, who is making his first appearance in the event, will go head to head with the Frenchman after both were given byes into the quarter finals of the competition.

Red Bull Racing Formula One driver David Coulthard will face 2004 British Touring Car Champion and SEAT WTCC ace Yvan Muller in the quarter finals.

The winner of that tie will go on to face the winner of the Priaulx v Bourdais match-up.

Two of the world's other leading touring car exponents will also face each other. SEAT World and British Touring Car racer James Thompson has drawn five times DTM champion Bernd Schneider for the first round.

The winner between the two will go on to face either Mattias Ekstrom or Travis Pastrana.

In the rally driver group, 1995 World Rally Champion Colin McRae will face 2002 and 2004 title winner Marcus Gronholm in a draw, which means that he could meet reigning champion Sebastien Loeb in the rally driver final.
