INT: Radisich leads Bathurst times

Paul Radisich led the timesheets in the first day of practice for the FAI 1000 at Bathurst, Australia

The former BTCC star clocked his best time of 2m11.22s in his Shell/Dick Johnson Racing Falcon in the afternoon session to lead a Ford 1-2-3-4.

Second fastest was the man Radisich replaced this season, John Bowe.

The Tasmanian veteran, who will share the CAT Ford with Jim Richards in Sunday's
race, clocked 2m12.

Third fastest was Tony Longhurst [Castrol Ford] ahead of Glenn Seton [Ford-Tickford Racing Ford] and the first of the Holdens, Larry Perkins' Castrol car.

The biggest incident of the day befell Jason Bright.

The defending race winner lost control of his Pirtek Ford Falcon in the morning session and hit the rear of the Cameron McLean/John Cleland Falcon, which was parked
off-track at McPhillamy bend after an earlier incident.

Bright's car was severely damaged in the incident and the Stone Brothers Racing crew, aided by the resident Bathurst TAFE repair team, is racing the clock to have the car repaired for Friday's afternoon qualifying session.

The McLean/Cleland car was repaired by their crew in time for the Thursday afternoon session.

Friday two qualifying sessions start at 0855 and 1340 respectively, Australian Eastern Summer Time [2255 and 0340 Friday GMT].
