Hulkenberg wins Durban sprint

Team Germany's Nico Hulkenberg equalled Alex Premat's record of seven A1GP wins by dominating the sprint race in Durban

Hulkenberg took his fifth win in a row after starting from pole position. He defended his lead into the first hairpin and then made his escape, eventually finishing 2.7 seconds ahead of Team France's Loic Duval.

Duval started third on the grid, but stole second from New Zealand's Matt Halliday into the hairpin at the start, diving down the inside at the last second to surprise the black car.

Switzerland's Neel Jani chose a wide line into the hairpin, but it didn't pay off as Jeroen Bleekemolen slipped his Team Netherlands car up the inside to take fourth position.

The top five held those positions until the flag, with Richard Lyons scoring the final point for Team Ireland.
