GBR confirm Manning, Kerr, Jarvis
Team Great Britain have officially confirmed that Robbie Kerr, Darren Manning and Oliver Jarvis will form their driver line-up for the 2006/7 season, as revealed on autosport.com last month
Kerr drove for the team throughout the inaugural A1 Grand Prix of Nations series, while Manning substituted for him in the final round and took a podium finish on his debut. Their combined efforts earned the British team third place in the standings.
McLaren/Autosport Award winner and Formula Three frontrunner Jarvis joined Kerr and Manning for last week's pre-season A1 test and will now become a permanent member of the squad.
"Quite simply I think we have one of the strongest driver representations in A1GP with Robbie, Darren and Oliver on board," said team principal John Surtees.
"Obviously Robbie and Darren were with us last year and did a solid job scoring podiums and helping us to third overall in the nations' standings while Oliver joins us as a rookie but with impeccable credentials."
Manning will drive for Team GBR in the season opener at Zandvoort as Kerr has a clashing World Series by Renault race. Jarvis will participate in the 'rookie' test on the Friday of the meeting.
Decisions about subsequent driver rotation will be taken once the championship is underway.
"First and foremost A1 Team GBR has to win this season so we'll look at the drivers for each race and decide who gives us the best chance of helping us to achieve that goal," said Surtees.
