Five teams penalised after event

A1GP officials have handed out several penalties to teams following infringements during both races at Sepang on Sunday

In the sprint race, Germany were demoted from third to 16th due to Michael Ammermuller causing an avoidable collision with Canada's Robert Wickens.

The penalty moves Wickens up to third, while Team Netherlands were handed a 25-second penalty for a jump start, dropping Jeroen Bleekemolen from eighth to 18th position.

In the feature race, Brazil and Great Britain were both handed a two-second penalty for gaining an unfair advantage in the pitlane.

The cars were held at the end of the pits when the majority of the field pitted under a safety car period, and as the field rejoined, Sergio Jimenez passed Neel Jani, while Oliver Jarvis passed Loic Duval.

The small penalties dropped the Brazilian car from second to third, while Jarvis, who snatched the final point from Team USA's Jonathan Summerton on the final lap, dropped back to 11 th.

Germany were penalised again, despite Ammermuller serving a drive-through penalty during the race for a collision with Jarvis. The former GP2 racer had a similar collision with Erik Janis later in the race, and officials decided to exclude him from the results.
