Ferraris dominate 31-car FIA GT grid

The marques to be represented in the 2004 FIA GT Championship will be Ferrari (10 cars), Saleen (five), Lister (three), Chrysler (two), Maserati (two) and Lamborghini (one), making up a 23-car GT category on the official entry list published yesterday. The FIA has also listed four Ferraris and four Porsches in the N-GT division, for a total entry of 31. The series will again share the LG SuperRacing Weekend promotion with the ETCC

The only full factory team will be Maserati Corse, whose controversial, all-carbon 'MC' racecar still awaits FIA homologation.

Six Ferrari 575M racecars will be operated by JMB Racing (three cars), GPC Giesse Squadra Corse (two) and Scuderia Cavallino, in opposition to four 550 Maranellos from BMS Scuderia Italia (two cars), Care Racing Development and Wieth Racing.

The Saleen S7-R has been selected by Konrad Motorsport (two cars) [Mar 15], Ray Mallock Ltd (two), and Graham Nash Motorsport.

The Lister Storm will be used for a two-car works team and by Creation Autosportif, and two Chrysler Viper GTS-R cars will be raced by Zwaans GTR Racing Team. The sole Lamborghini Murciélago will be operated by DAMS.
