Fan vote to decide RoC participants
Race fans have been given the opportunity to vote for their favourite drivers to represent Belgium and the Netherlands at the 2010 Race of Champions
One driver from each country will be selected to race under the banner Team Benelux at the annual season-ending event in Dusseldorf on November 27-28. This is the first time in RoC history that fans will decide which drivers shall compete.
Former Formula 1 driver Robert Doornbos, World Touring Car Championship race-winner Tom Coronel and Porsche Supercup champion Jeroen Bleekemolen are the Dutch candidates. Fans can also vote for World Rally favourite Francois Duval, ex-F1 driver Eric Van de Poele and IndyCar rookie Bertrand Baguette to represent Belgium.
The drivers selected will join a stellar line-up for this year's event. Seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher and current championship contender Sebastian Vettel will represent Germany, whilst seven-time World Rally champion Sebastein Loeb and four-time F1 champion Alain Prost will drive for Team France.
Five-time 500cc motorcycling world champion Mick Doohan will be in action for Team Australia, with three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx representing Great Britain.
Votes can be cast at www.raceofchampions.com.
