Eagling lands VX220 seat
The deal is initially for this weekend's Donington Park season-opener, but both Eagling and team boss Blower, who will share driving duties at the Leicestershire circuit, have suggested it is likely to be extended for a full campaign
"I'm quite excited about the whole thing, "said Eagling, who raced a Marcos Mantis in the N-GT class last year. "Hopefully, I can help develop the car. It should be reasonably competitive straight out of the box, and I think it will be able to win. I wouldn't get involved otherwise."
The VX220, which was unveiled at Brands Hatch last week, is due to run for the first time at Donington today.
"We're looking towards a long-term deal with Dan and me," said Blower. "I certainly believe the car can win. We've not built it to lose. We might not be able to win straight away, but the plan is to develop the car and see it become a winner."
Newcomer Bin-Tec will run a ProSport 3000 in this year's Cup class for Jon Lee and Barry Murphy. The car was deemed eligible for the class by series organisers last season.
