Duval to make Durban races
Team France will use three different drivers during the A1GP round at Durban, South Africa this weekend when Loic Duval flies overnight from Japan in time for Saturday's sessions
Duval earned the squad a share of the championship lead when he took victory in the sprint race at Eastern Creek, Australia three weeks ago.
He looked set to miss the rest of the season due to his prior racing commitments in Japan, but his Formula Nippon team Nakajima Racing have agreed to let Duval fly to South Africa in time for Saturday's qualifying sessions.
Nicolas Prost will drive in the rookie session for the team tomorrow, and Jonathan Cochet will do the other Friday practice sessions before Duval arrives overnight.
Team France sporting director Olivier Panis is hoping Duval's presence will help them to edge ahead of New Zealand in the title race.
"Our motivation is boosted ten-fold as we could take the lead in the championship. This is a very tricky circuit so our aim is to make no mistakes and chase rostrum finishes and victories.
"I'd like to thank Nakajima Racing for releasing Loic to race for us this weekend, and the organisers of A1GP for allowing him to drive from Saturday onwards.
