Dixon sets Milwaukee pace
Opening round winner Scott Dixon stayed on top in Indy Lights testing at Milwaukee this week
Although no official times were available, Dixon reportedly lapped in 25.0s in his PacWest entry, pipping Conquest Racing's Felipe Giaffone and Chris Menninga. Dixon's team-mate Tony Renna and Team KOOL Green duo Jeff Simmons and Jonny Kane completed the top six.
The second round of the series is due to take place at the venue next weekend, prompting the teams to opt for a cautious approach.
"We made them run with a push (understeer) to keep them off the walls because with just a week before the race here we want to make sure they have good, solid cars underneath them,' said PacWest's Ziggy Harcus.
The weather proved unsettled. Rain delayed early running and then the second day of test brought strong winds. The conditions were a contributing factor in a series of accidents, Simmons, Townsend Bell, Cory Witherill, Luis Diaz and Rolando Quintanella all being caught out and making contact with the turn two wall.
