D'Agostino takes JLR ride
The 18-year-old, the winner of the 2003 Barber-Dodge Pro Series scholarship, has landed the seat after Latvian Stolcermanis suffered serious injuries in a car accident
D'Agostino, who is currently recovering from a broken arm sustained in a New Zealand FFord winter series crash, joins countryman Charlie Kimball and Briton Daniel Clarke in the squad.
"I have wanted to come overseas for some time now, because I know if I am to make a name for myself and have a shot at Formula 1, this is where I need to be," said D'Agostino.
Team boss Richard Dean said: "Joe has won a championship every year he has been racing, but is recovering from injuries, so it will be tough for him to make up for lack of circuit knowledge and get back to full fitness before round one."
Rival outfit Nexa Racing has filled two of its four seats for this year, with the team's reigning British winter series champion, Sebastien Hohenthal, joining returning '03 race winner Yuya Sakamoto. Finnish title contender Valle Makela is also expected to return to the team.
