Formula 1 sensation Jenson Button will open the last day of the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham on Sunday 14 January. Button, who finished a brilliant eighth in his first ever F1 season this year, flies in from extensive test sessions with his new Benetton-Renault team to meet his fans at the World's Number One Racing Car Show

Autosport International is a four-day event motorsport event that includes a two-day trade show for industry professionals and a two-day public show.
Jenson's appearance at Autosport International will give his huge British following the opportunity to wish him well for the 2001 season. During the show he will take part in a number of public appearances where visitors will be able to meet the popular youngster for autograph signing sessions.
, says he is more than ready for F1. Just days after being granted his Super-Licence, the 21 year-old Finn has confirmed that he will be making an appearance at Autosport International 2001, where he will be stating why he is ready for the big league despite competing in fewer than 25 car races. He will also be talking about the impressive test in Jerez (Dec 5-7, 2000) recently, which convinced the governing body, the FIA, that he is ready. Now F1's very latest recruit arrives at Autosport International with the clear message to his rivals and critics that he is good enough to take on the best in the premier World Championship series.
has chosen the world's number 1 racing car show for his first British appearance since joining the elite world of Grand Prix racing. Signed to drive with the Williams-BMW team for the 2001 season, he will be determined to endorse Frank Williams' faith in him, as he gets to grips with indoor racing in the British Eurosport Thunderdrome.
Juan Pablo will visit a number of other areas including the Autosport Central Stage for interviews and autograph signing sessions. He will also treat fans to the spectacle of a 'flying lap' in the Silverstone Kart Area on Saturday morning, when he bids to set a time for everybody else to beat.
and F3000 driver Darren Manning will also be attending the show. He will be signing autographs on the SpeedSport stand as well as appearing on the Autosport stage over the weekend.
also has something for those who like racing on two wheels just as much as four. The stars of World and British Superbike racing will join leading TT riders as top billing at BIKESPORT INTERNATIONAL, the new section for bike racing at the world's leading motorsport show.
The Castrol Honda World Championship Team will be making a big splash with their state of the art transporter, a full display of World championship-winning machines including Colin Edward's World Superbike and the new CBR600 Supersport. TT riders, Adrian Archibald and John McGuinness will join other Honda riders on the stand.
Bob McMillan of Honda (UK) said: "Autosport is a really superb show and walking around last year I realised that motorcycling needed its own dedicated area. Honda gives its full support to Bikesport at Autosport and I am sure it will raise the profile of the sport and give motorcycling a new audience of motorsport fans."
has confirmed its support of BIKESPORT, bringing an array of motocross bikes, trick sports quad bikes including the 'all-new' Raptor and the YZF500 Grand Prix bikes. Danish rider, Brian Jorgensen, winner of GP motocross and a contender in the British 125cc Championship will make a guest appearance.
are using the show to announce their British Superbike line-up for 2001 and John Reynolds, star of the final World Superbike round at Brands Hatch, will be on the stand for three days. The Autosport Thunderdrome provides daily live-action at the indoor racing track and Reynolds has agreed to join in the essence of speed and adrenaline generated in the arena, on his Ducati.
will be featured on the B & C stand alongside James Toseland's British Championship machine from Paul Bird Motorsport.
, will be making guest appearances for three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) of the show including interviews on the Autosport stand. The Autosport International 2001 is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday (January 13-14) with press and trade access on Thursday and Friday (11-12). Adult entry prices for the show are £13 with British Eurosport Thunderdrome tickets at £10 on the day, £7 in advance.
