Australia fastest in practice 2
Australia and Portugal dominated the second practice session for the A1 GP race in Durban this afternoon
The session started out wetter than at any point all day, and a splashy and spectacular few minutes came to an end when Nelson Piquet Jr lost it at the last corner and took a corner off the Team Brazil car.
When the session resumed, it was only three minutes before Team India's car was caught out on the bumpy main straight, causing another stoppage.
The rest of the session was progressively drier, and rather quiet until the dying minutes.
Will Davison and Alvaro Parente timed their runs perfectly, while Neel Jani (Team Switzerland) narrowly escaped an accident when his throttle stuck open and he slithered off at the first chicane.
This brought an early end to the session and an inconclusive day.
