Arrows to debut new passenger F1 car

Arrows will launch its all-new AX3 passenger car at Autosport International 2001 at the NEC in Birmingham on Thursday, January 11.

Autosport International

Autosport International is a four-day event motorsport event that includes a two-day trade show for industry professionals and a two-day public show.

The revolutionary design will form part of the Arrows F1 Xperience programme, which will be unveiled at 10.00am on the Autosport centre stage with interviews with key personnel from the project.

Further question and answer sessions will take place with Arrows team members at scheduled times on the Autosport Stage throughout the weekend.

Until recently, only the elite few drivers have been able to experience the awesome thrill, speed and power of a current generation Formula One car. During 2000, Arrows Formula One team has been one of only two teams able to make this dream become a reality to selected media and celebrities, by offering the opportunity to experience the excitement of the world's ultimate racing cars at first hand, with its Arrows 2-Seater car.

For 2001, Arrows has taken the passenger car concept and technology into a new dimension, and now presents the AX3.

"The AX3 has been designed to give a truer experience than ever before of what a Formula One driver sees and feels from the cockpit," said team owner Tom Walkinshaw. "A lot has been written about the acceleration, g-forces and braking capabilities of these racing cars, but we are now furthering the opportunity to give people an appreciation of what it's really like."

The car's launch and all the interviews with the key players will be covered in depth on Autosport.com as soon as it happens.

Autosport International 2001 is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday (January 13-14) with press and trade access on Thursday and Friday (11-12). Adult entry prices for the show are £13 with British Eurosport Thunderdrome tickets at £10 on the day, £7 in advance.

Combined show entry and Thunderdrome tickets can be purchased in advance from the NEC Ticket Hotline number 0870 264 4444 or from the website www.autosport-international.com where further details of all areas of the show are also available.
