American Pro Mazda series booms for 2004

Exclusive supplier Star Race Cars in Braselton, GA, has sold 59 of the initial production run of 60 new-for-2004 Pro Formula Mazda 'spec' racecars for next season's Star Mazda Series in the USA, and has negotiated with chassis maker Elan Motorsports to commence future 10-car runs against new orders. The IMSA-sanctioned series, sponsored by Goodyear Tire & Rubber, will comprise 10 events, nine with the American Le Mans Series and one oval race with NASCAR.

"We're pleased to be able to announce the schedule as the 2003 season comes to a close," said series president Gary Rodrigues. "We feel that these venues will allow our drivers to display their talents as they continue to develop skills that will move them up the racing ladder."
