You can add 2016 to the list of classic Mugello races and race finishes! Excellent stuff for Lorenzo, another Mugello win to his name. That makes this five MotoGP wins at Mugello for the reigning world champion.

Tidemand pops in and he's only 39.1s off Mikkelsen despite being in an R5 car.
Irrelevant of Elfyn Evans' problems, Tidemand has produced a real coming of age drive this weekend to stay focused at the front of the order in WRC2.

The track in Indianapolis is almost ready for the final IndyCar practice before qualifying, after downpours earlier today delayed the start. The green flag is expected imminently.
Just a couple of minutes before we slide sideways over crest into SS14, here's friend of Race Centre Live Seb Marshall with his stage guide:
SS14 'Marao' (16.34 miles)
This is a bit Pikes Peaky at the start with quite a few hairpins, just not quite so wide. Then it’s really quick up a valley with lots of big drops with ARMCO on the side – it’ll look great from the heli.
At the top, there’s some huge boulders which really, really slow the stage down. It’s literally down the first gear to thread the car through the gaps between the rocks – a bit like El Condor in Argentina – and then we’re off again."
Excellent stuff.

Heidfeld takes P9 from Conway. The move started with a late dive to the inside at Turn 1 and was then completed into the Turns 2/3 chicane.

Prost attacks Vergne into Turn 1, but the DS Virgin driver defends the position. Out in front, Buemi is 4.1s clear of Abt. Buemi's energy looks good as well.

De Silvestro's pulled a fine move on Duval into Turn 1, diving late on the brakes and taking seventh. Andretti having a very good race so far.

Thanks to the penalties for others, the points positions are completed by Frijns in sixth, then Duval, de Silvestro, Conway and Heidfeld.

Buemi's lead over Abt is 3.7s. The Renault e.dams man has properly scarpered. That's 12 laps of 48 completed. Vergne's fallen 1.7s in arrears of Abt and has Prost and di Grassi for company.

Bird pits now. From where we're sitting, this is extremely harsh from the stewards. That's three drivers who have no had their races ruined for what didn't look to be particularly dangerous mechanical issues.

TV replay shows Buemi's move on Vergne was absolutely inch perfect. Vergne defended but just about left a car's width and Buemi forced his wing inside the left-rear and, an inch from the wall, pulled the move off into Turn 5. That's a heavy braking zone to enter off line, so fine work indeed.
