WRC - Poland: That's a huge relief for Hirvonen on a weekend where he spent a lot of time castigating himself for being too slow. He admits that was a nerve-wracking finish watching his splits compared to Latvala's.

FR3.5 - Moscow: Poleman Merhi storms away into an early lead, while Gasly and Rowland jump on slow-starting Stanaway off the line. Gasly swoops around the outside of Turn 1 to take second, while Stanaway fends off an attack from Rowland to hang onto third.

FR3.5 - Moscow: The cars set off on the formation lap. Everyone gets away cleanly, but yesterday it was when the red lights came on for the start proper that the three championship leaders (Sainz, Gasly, Rowland) all stalled on the grid. Gasly's, we should add, was due to a clutch failure.
WRC - Poland: Kris Meeke needed to find just a tenth to take seventh overall from Hayden Paddon on this stage, and judging by the splits, that won't be a problem.
Paddon will be eighth overall, and is currently second to Kubica on the Powerstage.

DTM - Norisring: Mattias Ekstrom has been given a five-place grid penalty for today's race. The Audi driver was found guilty of impeding Pascal Wehrlein during Q3, and will now start 12th, instead of seventh.
WRC - Poland: Henning Solberg and Martin Prokop clinch ninth and 10th places. Kubica remains on top of the Powerstage rankings for now.

WRC - Poland: Tanak's clinched what is - remarkably - his first WRC2 win. He's been so rapid all year whether in the WRC or WRC2 Ford, but finishing rallies has been the problem. No issues this weekend, though.

Auto GP - Imola: Michela Cerruti wins from Kevin Giovesi. A very popular win for the Roman and the first win by a female driver in the series history. Pal Varhaug rounds out the podium after resisting late pressure from Kimiya Sato. Pommer completes a fighting comeback drive from last to fifth place but loses out on points for fastest lap as Sato takes that on the final tour.
WRC - Poland: Next on the stage after Tanak will be M-Sport pair Elfyn Evans and Robert Kubica, who are both way down the order under Rally2 after their suspension-smashing slip-ups on Saturday.

Drivers take the Powerstage pretty seriously and often use the first pass of it to suss out conditions for a real push when the extra points are available.

FR3.5 - Moscow: Next time out at the Nurburgring it will be Sainz performing the demo laps in the Red Bull - the traditional prize for the championship leader at the mid-point of the season. Sainz, with a 43-point lead going into today's race, is guaranteed to earn that honour this weekend.
It won't be his first experience of F1 machinery - he tested for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso at Silverstone last year.

Auto GP - Imola: Cerruti and Giovesi pit together and it is the Super Nova boys who are quickest with the wheel guns. Cerruti heads out back in to the lead with three laps remaining.

FR3.5 - Moscow: Toro Rosso racer Daniil Kvyat climbs out of the Red Bull F1 demo car that he has just been lapping Moscow Raceway with, finishing with a flurry of donuts to entertain his home crowd.

European F3 - Norisring: A very soggy race has come to an end, and it's another win for Max Verstappen. Jordan King is second, Lucas Auer third. And, for just the second time this season, Esteban Ocon fails to score.
It's worth mentioning the impressive drive from Santino Ferrucci. The baby-faced American rookie came home fifth, which is decent given the poor conditions, and his relative lack of experience.

European F3 - Norisring: We're racing again, but the way. And Lucas Auer has ruined the British 2-3 by passing Dennis for third.

World RX - Kouvola: Drama in heat three at Kouvola in Finland as Timmy Hansen rolls out of his race, a victim of a squeeze into the second corner.
The Peugeot-Hansen team is rushing to repair the car in time for heat four.
Local man Toomas Heikkinen was fastest, ahead of his Marklund team-mate for this event Tanner Foust. Petter Solberg was third and Liam Doran fourth, both having a better time than on day one.
