Chatin now pits from the LMP2 lead, with Bird now taking over at the front. He leads Tandy by 22s.
However, the closest battle is in GTE Am. The top three are separated by just three seconds. The Dempsey Porsche of Ried narrowly leads from Mapelli's similar car with Lamy right in contention in his Aston Martin in third.
Over in GTE Pro, Pilet leads in the Team Manthey Porsche by over a minute from Thiim's #95 Aston Martin. Third is the AF Corse Ferrari of Bruni nearly 20s further back.
The #7 Audi's chances of claiming the title seem to be slipping away.
Crash
Lotterer returns to the pits. Possible problem with rear right tyre.

LMP2 is being led by the #36 Alpine of Chatin, but that has pitted one less time than the #26 G-Drive Ligier of Bird and Tandy's #47 ORECA.
So, there are 90 minutes left of this enthralling finale to the WEC season. Jani is currently leading in the #18 Porsche from Lotterer's #7 Audi. Davidson is a lap back in the #1 Toyota.
Meanwhile the #18 Porsche also pits from the lead.
Lotterer gets back into the Audi. This will be his fourth stint in the car.
Treluyer brings the #7 Audi into pitlane but almost collects Bird's G-Drive LMP2 car on entry.
Bradley also pits the LMP2-leading #47 KCMG ORECA with Tandy taking over.
Sarrazin pits the #2 Toyota to hand over to Conway. The #1 car takes over third place, while the #17 Porsche also visits the pits.

The other G-Drive car is also on the attack. Derani is pressurising the #36 Alpine of Chatin.
Bird takes the LMP2 lead from Bradley's KCMG ORECA. But Bradley fights back into Turn 1 to get ahead only for the G-Drive racer to finally take the place further round the lap. Great battling from both.

Jarvis now pits the #8 Audi for the sixth time after that recent spin.

GARY WATKINS: There is a battle in LMP2 in the race even if the drivers of the #26 G-Drive Ligier are a shoo-in for the title. Bird is closing on Bradley, but the Ligier man is on new rubber while Bradley is in the second half of a double on his Dunlops aboard the KCMG ORECA.
Both getting back going without being hit by any other cars.
Crash
More problems for the #8 Audi. The Strakka LMP2 car spun in front of Jarvis who also spun off in avoidance.
Jani has now extended his lead at the front to over 10s.

Ried has just taken over the class-leading #77 Porsche in GTE Am.
Sharp has brought the car back into the pits.
Crash
#30 Extreme Speed Ligier has suffered a suspension problem. The sister #31 car had a similar issue earlier in the race.

GARY WATKINS: Ferrari's gamble on double stinting Bruni isn't paying off. He's losing time to GTE Pro leader Pilet's Porsche and Turner in the best of the Astons is edging towards the Italian car.
