WEC finale, Macau GP, NASCAR decider

Finally, it has strung out in GTE Am. Lauda now leads in the #98 Aston by 25s from Bachler's Porsche with team-mate Seefried a further six seconds back in third.
Makowiecki continues to lead GTE Pro in his Porsche, while the #91 car of Lietz is set for the title despite only being fifth in class. Second is the AF Corse Ferrari of Vilander, 30s ahead of Turner's #97 Aston Martin.

In LMP2, the #26 G-Drive Ligier is on course to win the title. Bird is currently second in class, 13s behind the leading KCMG ORECA of Tandy. A further 42s back is the Signatech Alpine of Panciatici.

There are now just 30 minutes left of the WEC season. Jani seems to have everything under control at the front in the #18 Porsche. He leads by 1m23s from Lotterer in the #7, with the #2 Toyota just hanging onto third from the sister car.
While Jani is flying at the front, Webber is managing the hybrid problem on his #17 car extremely well. He's currently lapping faster than the #8 Audi behind.
After the stops, the two Toyotas are incredibly close for third. #2 with Conway in the driving seat currently has the advantage from Nakajima in #1.
Now the race-leading #18 Porsche makes its final planned stop.
#7 now pits from second.
Tandy pits the #47 KCMG from just half a second behind LMP2 leader Bird.
There have been problems throughout the race for the Porsche but can it make it to the chequered flag?

#17 suddenly slows, but then picks up speed.
The #8 Audi unlaps itself from the #17 Porsche but it will still be tight whether or not di Grassi can pass Webber for position.

GARY WATKINS: Tandy is now closing on Bird hand over fist. The roles are now reversed and it is the KCMG ORECA that is on the fresher Dunlop rubber. KCMG isn't going to win the championship, but it will want to finish on a high to prove what might have been.

Lamy was leading the GTE Am class but has just pitted in the #98 Aston. The #88 Porsche of Mapelli has followed him in. Collard is third in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari having already stopped for a fifth time.

It has been fairly settled in the GTE Pro element of the race. Makowiecki in the #92 Porsche continues to lead by 22s from Bruni's #71 AF Corse Ferrari. Third is Adam in the #97 Aston Martin.

In LMP2, champion-elect Bird is leading in the #26 G-Drive Ligier from Tandy in the #47 KCMG ORECA, who is 11s behind. Third is the other G-Drive entry with Derani at the wheel.

So with just one hour left to go, the #18 Porsche with Jani at the wheel leads Lotterer's #7 Audi by 65s. The #2 Toyota of Conway is still second - two laps back.

GARY WATKINS Let's not get too excited about the #17 Porsche's problems just yet. It still has a lap on the sixth placed Audi and a further four laps over the start of the P2 field. And just as pertinently, the #7 Audi doesn't look likely to win this race.
With no hybrid assistance, the #17 Porsche is going to be a real handful to drive.
The car is being pushed out and goes back onto the track, still ahead of the #8 Audi.
Webber told he's got no hybrid power.
It's not panic stations in the Porsche garage and the mechanics are securing something on the other side of the car to where repairs were needed earlier.
Webber was running fifth at the time and is staying in the car.

#17 is in the pits and it's about to be wheeled into the garage!
With Lotterer now 67s behind leader Jani, the closest LMP1 fight is between the two Toyotas for third. Currently #2 leads #1 by just five seconds.
Jani says over the radio he thinks it might be raining, but then corrects himself and says it's oil from another car.
There's been a change in GTE Am, Lamy is into the lead! He's passed both Porsches in the last two laps.
