Vinales, though, is eliminated. Rabat, Petrucci, Crutchlow, Smith, Abraham, Kallio, Barbera, Bautista, Redding, Baz, Lowes and van der Mark complete the runners.
So, the Espargaros make it through to Q2. They join Marquez, Zarco, Iannone, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rins, Pirro, Dovizioso, Miller and Rossi in the shootout.
Petrucci jumps to fifth with his final lap, Smith gets ahead of KTM team-mate/rival Kallio – but is half a second behind session-topping team-mate Espargaro.
Chequered flag, session's over – Vinales is not going to be part of Q2.
Replays show an amazing recovery from Crutchlow – he was rolling across the gravel after his Turn 10 crash and immediately jumped to his feet and got over the fence to try and get back in time.
Vinales isn't on a better lap...and Crutchlow's not getting back out.
Rabat up to fourth, Petrucci and Smith improve in sixth and seventh.
Pol Espargaro goes quickest! He posts a 1m30.893s. It's an Espargaro one-two, and Vinales is out as it stands.
Vinales is improving. So far, it's Aleix and Crutchlow going through.
Crutchlow's hopped over the fence, grabbed a scooter off someone and is shooting back to the pits! Two minutes to get back and on his spare bike.
Crutchlow's down. He's crashed. Was on a personal best lap...
Aleix Espargaro's still in the pits...might he sit this out to the end?
Some personal best sectors being set...This could get busy as the initial flying laps in these final runs come to an end.
Five minutes to go: Aleix Espargaro and Crutchlow are the top two.

Then it's a close mess comprising Pol Espargaro, Kallio, Rabat, Petrucci, Vinales, Bautista, Smith and Redding. Any of this top 10 could nick a Q2 berth.
The Aprilia rider's advantage is so good that his gap to Crutchlow then covers Crutchlow in second to Redding in 10th!
Aleix Espargaro's next lap puts some daylight between himself and Crutchlow. It's a 1m30.913s, and he's almost 0.4s to the good.
Rabat's third lap is another improvement but he's only fifth. Vinales is down in seventh. It's not working early on. He has the medium-rear tyre – does he needs a soft?
Nope, now it's Crutchlow in P1. Nope, now it's Aleix Espargaro. Improvements all the while in the early stages of the session.

It's a 1m31.166s for Aprilia's Espargaro.
Now Pol Espargaro puts the KTM test rider in his place, edging him by 0.026s on a 1m31.335s.
Kallio to the top on the KTM, stopping the timer at 1m31.361s.
Rabat improves to a 1m31.604s next time around. Aleix Espargaro and Vinales next up.
That's a good first lap from Rabat – a host of riders cross the line to complete their fliers, but nobody topples him...not even Vinales.
Meanwhile, the first qualifying session has begun. Fifteen minutes to decide who will join the 10 riders already in Q2.

Joining Rabat in Q1 are some high-profile names – led by Yamaha's Vinales. He was only 13th in FP3, and goes into Q1 along with Honda and Ducati satellite riders Cal Crutchlow and Danilo Petrucci.
We've just had FP4 – which doesn't contribute to the qualifying session – finish in Spain. Marquez ended up quickest on a 1m31.156s. Dovizioso was fifth, 0.4s back.
