World RX - Montalegre: Heat three is done at the first round of the World Rallycross Championship in Portugal.
Petter Solberg was fastest to climb up to fourth overall. Timur Timerzyanov maintains his position at the head of the order with second fastest time while Supercar debutant Reinis Nitiss claims third overall with third fastest heat time.
Liam Doran put his troubles of yesterday behind him, he was seventh fastest.
Andreas Bakkerud retired from his race with front suspension damage, while Jacques Villeneuve failed to start altogether, a water leak on his Peugeot 208 keeping him in the paddock.

Moto2 - Jerez: This race has got pretty static, with a solo crash for Corsi the only incident of late. Kallio leads Aegerter by 1.2s with six laps left.
Auto GP - Hungaroring: Everyone has made their mandatory tyre change. Sato starts his penultimate lap with a healthy 4.3s lead over Ghirelli.

Auto GP - Hungaroring: Sato is 3.3s behind leader Ghirelli and cutb the deficit by 2.2s on lap 11.

Moto2 - Jerez: Rabat's progress continues as he passes Salom for fourth. Vinales is now into seventh, Kallio leads Aegerter and Folger by a second and a half.
Auto GP - Hungaroring: Dejonghe was closing the gap to leader Ghirelli, but stopped from second for his mandatory stop on lap eight.
Kiss had been demoted from third by Pommer at Turn 12 and followed Dejonghe into the pitlane. The Hungarian has rejoined behind early stopper Giovesi.

European F3 - Hockenheim: Here's a bit of reaction from race two winner Esteban Ocon:
"It was a good race. I made a good start, and I could keep Antonio behind. I’m really happy now, because we had a problem yesterday.
"We forget now what happened yesterday. We fixed the problem and now everything is working."
Moto2 - Jerez: Kallio has got his lead up to about a second. Rabat is up to fifth and is now setting off after Moto3 graduate Salom for fourth. Vinales, Salom's Pons team-mate, is also making progress in eighth.

USC - Laguna Seca: During the European night there was a bit of history made at Laguna Seca, as the LMP2 teams proved their cars can be a match for the Daytona Prototypes in the new United SportsCar championship.
Johannes van Overbeek put Extreme Speed's HPD on pole ahead of Richard Westbrook in the Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP, with the second ESM car and OAK's Morgan making the top five balance three LMP2s versus two DPs.

Today's race is a split affair: a two-hour race for PC and GTD cars, then another for Prototypes and GT Le Mans cars later in the day. Not a bad idea with 56 entries and a 2.2-mile track. With the eight-hour time difference to California, the European part of our audience can read the full race report on AUTOSPORT either very late tonight or when you get up on Monday morning.

In a bid to revive its flagging grids of recent years it is a refocused championship for 2014, open to current chassis and 2008-11 models, all powered by older-spec engines.
Those efforts, for this meeting at Rockingham at least, have not had the desired impact. Just seven drivers took part in practice yesterday and only six will be present in today's qualifying session – Alice Powell, who was only confirmed on Thursday evening, is competing in a trial for the Team GB skeleton team.
