WEC - Spa: Bruni is only 1.2s behind Rees at the head of GTE Pro. No signs of a splash for the Aston yet.
NASCAR - Talladega: We're into the pole shootout part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup's revised superspeedway qualifying procedure at Talladega.
F1-style knockout sessions have taken NASCAR qualifying from 'painfully dull' to 'quite good' since their introduction last year, but with drafting so important at Daytona and Talladega, those tracks' qualifying sessions became chaos and sometimes carnage.
So from Talladega this weekend we're back to single-car qualifying on superspeedways, but much more quick-fire than the pre-2014 system, with cars setting out for their flying laps while the previous one is completing theirs.
And there's still a knockout element - the top 12 from the first runs go out again to decide the first six rows on the grid.

WEC - Spa: Treluyer's lead is 12s at the end of Sector 1. If his tyres hold on, Audi are going to make it two from two in this year's WEC.
WEC - Spa: Treluyer stops with just under 22 minutes to go. No tyres for the run to the flag, which means his Michelins will be two and a half stint old by the end of the race.
The numbers that matter right now are 50.7 and 2.4: those are the gaps in seconds between the Audi and the Porsche at the front of the field and the Aston and Ferrari squabbling over GTE Pro honours.
WEC - Spa: Treluyer is pulling away from Jani. The gap is up to 50s, which should be more than enough for the Audi to make its splash and still get out in front
European F3 - Hockenheim: The award for most bizarre retirement of the weekend in F3 looks almost certain to go to Alessio Lorandi in the wet Friday race. He was hit by Julio Moreno on the green-flag lap, the Ecuadorean deranging his suspension.
There was no damage to the Italian's car except to the rainlight, and because it wasn't functioning the Van Amersfoort Racing team was ordered by the race officials to bring Lorandi in to retire.

WEC - Spa: Rees has stabilised the gap at the front of GTE Pro to just over 4s from the charging Bruni. That's going to be meaningless if he has to stop again.
WTCC - Hungaroring: Just one more item before we depart the circuit for the evening. We understand that James Thompson has a dental abscess and may be a non-starter tomorrow. We await official word from the Lada team.
WEC - Spa: Jani stops with 35 minutes of this race to go. He doesn't take on fresh tyres – because there aren't any left! The Audi will need to stop again, but it is going to be a genuine splash and it will have fresh tyres if it wants them.
WEC - Spa: Next time around, he makes it past the Audi to take the lead on the Kemmel Straight.
WEC - Spa: Jani sets the fastest sector one of the race to get within two tenths of the Audi. Big time traffic at the start of sector two, then loses him a second.
WTCC - Hungaroring: This weekend's WTCC event continues to do wonders for the FIA's cashflow. To clarify John Filippi's €1000 fine, this was for "Fitting an additional camera support to the incident camera without permission". Team-mate Hugo Valente has received a reprimand for "Change of incident camera position".
Tom Chilton's ROAL Motorsport team is also having to dip into its pockets for "Car inside the garage after the start of the session" in Q1. That will be €500. Handily, the FIA appends its IBAN and Swift Code to the stewards' notice for ease of electronic payment.
Perhaps cheered by the prospect of a glass of wine from the bottom of the list after all this fineage, the stewards have determined that Gabriele Tarquini can participate in tomorrow's race in spite of crashing out in Q1. He will start both races from the back of the grid.

WEC - Spa: Jani has whittled the lead down to 5s, but the Porsche is going to have to do another double. New rules for this year limit the number of sets of tyres allowed in the six-hour races to half a dozen.
WEC - Spa: The #99 Aston is back in the lead after a slow stop for the Ferrari (still with Bruni at the wheel). Turner, who is on a six rather than five-stop strategy is between them. MacDowall made it past the five-hour mark before handing over to Rees, which begs the question, does the leader need a splash?
WEC - Spa: Treluyer's lead is down to just over 7s, but remember the #7 Audi will spend less time in the pits between now and the chequered flag because Lieb had to cut short his attempt at a double.
WTCC - Hungaroring: In you-couldn't-make-it-up news, we learn that in presenting new evidence to the stewards to have his five-place grid penalty overturned, Hugo Valente's team-mate John Filippi has incurred a €1000 fine for having an unapproved camera in his car.
WEC - Spa: Almost exactly an hour to go, and Bruni takes the GTE Pro lead from MacDowall with a cheeky move requiring lots of kerb at the Bus Stop.

WEC - Spa: Treluyer completes his first stint on schedule. The bad news for Porsche is that he the #7 Audi is doubling again. That said, Jani is only 15s behind.
WEC - Spa: Bird, who has just taken over the best of the G-Drive Ligiers, appears to have a problem. There's smoke from the left-side exhaust. That should allow Jota to reprise its 2012 P2 victory here.
WEC - Spa: Bruni has just taken second from Bell in the #97 Aston but just as importantly he is only 10s down on MacDowall in the leading Vantage.
WEC - Spa: Lieb pits in the second-placed car. Porsche obviously believes that it can make it to the end with one more stop after this.
WEC - Spa: Treluyer is nine tenths ahead as they cross the line, which means he is out of range of the big-boosting Porsche as they head up to Les Combes.

WTCC - Nurburgring: There has been much activity behind the scenes here, with several drivers called to the stewards after qualifying to discuss potential yellow-flag infractions during free practice this morning.

WEC - Spa: The leaders are together now and Treluyer is looking for a way through.

WEC - Spa: Bruni is still third for AF Corse and Ferrari in GTE, but he's now only 16s down on the leading Aston in MacDowall's hands. That means the Ferrari is now favourite in our book given that the Vantage will have to make a splash at the end.

WEC - Spa: Rusinov is now finally within 30s of Dolan. Reckon the battle for LMP2 is going to be pretty much a straight fight between Tincknell and Bird once they climb back in their respective mounts for the run to the flag.

WEC - Spa: Treluyer's times are creeping up as his tyres lose their bite, but he's still in the 59s and now almost within 10s of the leading Porsche.

World RX - Hockenheim: Petter Solberg wins the last race of heat four to top the Intermediate classification and claim 16 championship points.
