MotoGP - Silverstone: Either LCR man was a podium bet there, but now they're both scrabbling to get out of the gravel.
DTM - Moscow Raceway: Formula 3 European Championship leader Antonio Giovinazzi is about 56 minutes away from his second DTM race.
He’ll line up 16th, after qualifying just 0.373 seconds off pole.
The Italian is standing in for Timo Scheider at Audi, with Scheider suspended as part of further punishments handed down for the ‘push him out’ row.
Giovinazzi spent a day in Audi DTM machinery at Jerez late last year and completed another half-day at Lausitzring in June.
He finished 19th yesterday, the last of the runners, and said the importance of getting heat into tyres and brakes during safety car periods was an eye opener.
“It was a really hard race,” he said.
“I had a really good start, and it’s so different from Formula 3 with those cars much smaller - the car is really big here, it’s difficult to watch in the mirror and everything.
“The two safety cars didn’t help me, because you need a good warm-up with the braking and the tyres, and at the restart I was not always really fast.
“I think the last few laps were not too bad, but the race was already gone.
“I learned something today and I hope I can put what I learned today into the race on Sunday.”

MotoGP - Silverstone: Up to now, the rain level had been such that you had to squint out of the window to be absolutely sure it was definitely coming down and popping outside was the best bet. It's now very visibly falling - we're upgrading it from drizzle to proper rain.
WEC - Nurburgring: Bird has nibbled into Tandy's advantage at the front of LMP2, suggesting that the Ligier is better on its tyres than the ORECA.
WEC - Nurburgring: With Webber having passed Fassler for second place, he's 42.6 seconds off leader Lieb.
MotoGP - Silverstone: Ten minutes until the second attempt at the start. Tyre choice right now looks clear: definitely wet. Will that still be the case in just under an hour when we reach the 20th and final lap...?

WEC - Nurburgring: Webber has pulled five seconds on Fassler, underlining the Porsche's superiority here.
WEC - Nurburgring: The #91 Porsche is back ahead in GTE Pro with Lietz at the wheel after the pitstop sequence is complete. The Porsches and Astons managed an hour on the fuel, suggesting this isn't going to be anything other than a five-stop race.

The rules have been adjusted since then to try to prevent such chaos and the riders were expecting to line up one by one at the pit exit in the order in which they arrived (Bradley Smith had got himself 'pole').
But race direction have wisely decided to avoid that and called the start off. The start is being delayed, the pitlane will reopen at 1.10pm UK (five minutes) then the race start will be 1.25pm.
What will the weather be doing then...?
