European F3 - Norisring: Safety car pulls back in with the man on the move appearing to be Cassidy, who edges inside of Jordan King for 10th at Turn 1.
A lap later and Derani, who is braking so late at the hairpins, is almost collected by Blomqvist, who runs wide and only just prevents Tincknell getting by for eighth.

European F3 - Norisring: Safety car is out again to allow Calderon's car to be cleared away.

European F3 - Norisring: Another off. This time it's Tatiana Calderon. Oh dear. She went off the track and onto the dust on the inside while braking for Turn 1 and cannoned into Michela Cerruti, spinning the Romeo Ferraris machine.
Calderon's right-front wheel is hanging off as the Double R Driver pulls off before The Esses. Goddard had to go wide to avoid the incident.

European F3 - Norisring: Goddard and Van de Laar are both stopped at Turn 1. Replays show Goddard braked in a different postcode to the Dutchman and just t-boned him. The Van Amersfoort car was totally innocent in that one.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: News at the end of the practice session was Pedrosa's X-Ray has revealed no fractures, though he will undergo further tests.
European F3 - Norisring: Some low-downforce rear-wing set-ups in evidence in the assembly area. Muller, Rudersdorf, Derani, Rosenqvist, Gilbert, Nissany, Calderon, Lewis, Goddard, Sims, Giovinazzi, van de Laar, Mardenborough, Gelael and Zeller have all gone for single-plane wings to maximise straight-line speed.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: Well, Espargaro was quickest for a while. Marquez improves and sets a 1m22.020s - then goes even quicker on a 1m21.903s right at the end as the flag falls. Rossi, Bautista and Crutchlow have all improved within the top 10.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: Unbelievable effort from Aleix Espargaro. He goes quickest in the session so far on 1m22.129s - that puts him third overall! Meanwhile Crutchlow has also improved his overall best, just, with a lap of 1m22.449s.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: Hector Barbera gingerly walks away after dropping his bike at Turn 11 and sliding into the gravel - mirroring Bryan Staring's incident earlier in the session.

DTM - Norisring: Things are looking good for Team Rosberg right now. Edoardo Mortara still leads the way with 10 minutes to go in free practice while team-mate Filipe Albuquerque pops up into second.
Mortara, just as his name is being typed, has a very lucky escape after scraping the wall exiting The Esses. How he didn't take off a wing mirror is a mystery.
MotoGP - Sachsenring: No improvements within the top 10, though session pacesetter Rossi is just 0.2s shy of his overall best at the moment. Meanwhile, Pedrosa is in the medical centre.
DTM - Norisring: Werner's car has made it back to the pits (thanks to a truck and a tow rope) and is now being pushed into the garage.

DTM - Norisring: Dirk Werner has stopped on the circuit just before the final hairpin. Yellow flags are out and a tow vehicle is quickly on the scene.
DTM - Norisring: Meanwhile on the track Roberto Merhi has a massive lock-up going into The Esses, misses the right-hand part of the turn altogether and goes off.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: Pedrosa down at the exit of Turn 1. He clutched his collarbone immediately, and has lost his visor, but is walking away with the marshals.
MotoGP - Sachsenring: The riders are back on track and it seems that shower was just a scare - for now, anyway. Claudio Corti, 20th overall, proves track conditions are certainly good enough to improve as he sets a new session benchmark of 1m24.681s - that's a fraction faster than he managed yesterday.

MotoGP - Sachsenring: Spots of rain on the track and the riders are understandably frustrated. Those who ventured out return to the garages rather promptly. So the top 10 riders, who automatically progress to Q2, may well be decided...
