Rossi gets up the inside at Turn 1 and makes it stick this time. Rossi leads, Iannone is back to second.
Similar pattern between Rossi and Iannone at Turn 9, the Ducati stays in the lead. Crutchlow then passes Marquez at Turn 11.
Rossi looks up the inside of Iannone at Turn 4, but runs slightly wide and Iannone gets the better run back out to maintain the lead.

Crutchlow has wasted no time pulling away from Lorenzo, his next target is Marquez in fourth.
Iannone and Rossi are pulling away from Dovizioso slightly at the front. Crutchlow has found his way past Lorenzo, at Turn 9.
Although Lorenzo puts in a strong final sector to set a new fastest lap of the race, a 2m14.925s. They are six tenths behind Marquez.
Crutchlow is the fastest man on track, but can't find a way past Lorenzo.

Espargaro's off moves Lorenzo and Crutchlow up to fifth and sixth.
Aleix Espargaro has made a mistake at the first corner, and dropped from fifth to 13th.
Iannone passes Rossi at Turn 12 to take the lead.

Iannone's up to second, ahead of Dovizioso, Marquez, Aleix Espargaro, Lorenzo and Crutchlow as we start the second lap.
Rossi flies past Marquez, Dovizioso runs wide and Rossi takes the lead into Turn 15 at the end of the first lap.
Rossi and Iannone mug Lorenzo at Turn 9 as well.
Marquez goes around the outside of Marquez at Turn 5, Dovizioso follows the Spaniard through. Then Dovizioso grabs the lead at Turn 7.

Hernandez is on the soft front, everybody else is on the rear. Aleix Espargaro and Honda stand-in Aoyama are on the soft rear, mediums for everybody else there. And it sounds like Marquez and Smith have opted for carbon discs, rather than the steels, which are standard in the rain.
Riders are off for the warm-up lap.
Of those riders, keep an eye out for Miller starting 14th, Petrucci from 15th and Redding from 18th in the early stages. Rossi is starting second and Crutchlow fifth.

So who has looked good in these conditions so far this year? Jack Miller won at Assen, Marc Marquez at the Sachsenring - a flag-to-flag race - and Cal Crutchlow at Brno. Polesitter Andrea Dovizioso was quick in all three of those races, along with Valentino Rossi, Scott Redding and Danilo Petrucci.

New champion Marc Marquez has also been in the wars this weekend, battling a dose of gastroenteritis. He has been improving, though, after sitting out FP2 on Friday afternoon: 
Avintia Ducati's Loris Baz says the primary concerns are about the puddles and visibility, rather than the grip. The resurfaced Sepang circuit has buckets of that, but does not dry out quickly.

Lorenzo's advice has been heeded. The race start has been pushed back by another five minutes - to 7:20am UK time.
Lorenzo looks a bit agitated on the grid, as he seeks out former racer and safety officer Loris Capirossi. Wilco Zeelenberg from Lorenzo's crew confirms to the world TV feed that Lorenzo feels there is too much standing water, and that it would be better to wait another five minutes.

Cal Crutchlow will be racing battered today after a pair of crashes yesterday. In the first, in practice, he fractured a bone in his left hand: 
Bikes, riders and teams are back out on the grid. The proposed race start is eight minutes away.

All eyes will be on Jorge Lorenzo in these conditions, given his struggles in the wet this year. But he says qualifying third in the rain yesterday was no surprise:
