Rossi brings it home in second, 3.115s behind Espargaro, Lorenzo completes the podium a further 8.809s in arrears.
There we have it, a ninth different winner of the 2016 season. Who would have tipped that at the start of the year?

Dovizioso wins the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.

Marquez is still getting around in 13th place.
That two-lap stint that accounted for Crutchlow, Marquez and Iannone means Lorenzo is going to finish third, albeit 15s behind Dovizioso and 10s behind Rossi.

Dovizioso's only other MotoGP victory came during his time with Honda, winning the 2009 British Grand Prix at Donington Park.
At the front, Dovizioso is 4.3s clear with three laps to go. We is on track to become the ninth different winner of this sensational MotoGP season.
Barbera has passed Baz for fourth in the all-Avintia battle.
Dovizioso is bolting. He leads by 2.058s with four laps to go.
Dovizioso takes the lead, with five laps to go. Rossi ran slightly wide at Turn 1 and Dovizioso pounced.
We also have the Avintia Ducatis of Baz and Barbera in fourth and fifth.
That means we have just Rossi and Dovizioso left at the front. One tenth splits the Italians. Lorenzo is nearly 10s behind.
Iannone fell at Turn 9, his race is over.

Marquez has rejoined the race in 15th place.

Crutchlow has crashed at Turn 2. He is out of the race.

Rossi sets a new fastest lap, a 2m12.231s.
Rossi is back into the lead. He got a good run on Iannone and made a clean move into Turn 9. It sticks.
There's still about half a second covering the top three of Iannone, Rossi and Dovizioso. The latter is chasing his first win for Ducati, and just the second of his career.
Bradl has fallen from 15th on his Aprilia at Turn 1 and dropped to the back of the pack, but remounted.
Marquez is back into fourth, he forced his way past Crutchlow, with 10 laps to go.
Vinales is struggling on his Suzuki, he has been passed by Avintia Ducati pair Baz and Barbera on that last lap, dropping to ninth.
Iannone leads Rossi by 0.513s, Dovizioso is a further 0.622s behind. Then its Crutchlow and Marquez, a further three tenths adrift at the end of lap eight.

Marquez is fighting back on Crutchlow, setting the new fastest lap of the race, a 2m13.087s.
Crutchlow is still lurking in fourth, about half-a-second behind Dovizioso ahead.

Iannone sets a new fastest lap in the process, a 2m13.431s.
Iannone reclaims the lead, using that Ducati's power to move back past at Turn 15, and hold on down the main straight.

Order on lap six: Rossi, Iannone, Dovizioso, Crutchlow, Marquez, Lorenzo, Vinales, Baz, Barbera, Miller. That's your top 10. No real progress from Petrucci and Redding, they are 14th and 17th.
