Here's our report on that race, a fine win for Ducati and Andrea Dovizioso: 
It's a relatively muted scene as Rossi rides into the Yamaha garage, but a warm welcome for him from his crew too.
Dovizioso looked extremely emotional on his slowing-down lap and is now being swamped by Ducati personnel in parc ferme.

DNF: Crutchlow, Pedrosa, A Espargaro, P Espargaro
Abraham finished 16th, Suzuki stand-in Guintoli moved up steadily to 17th, Baz fended off Lowes and Smith at the back, and the Espargaro brothers joined Crutchlow and Pedrosa as retirees.
Rabat was 11th, Redding 12th, Folger 13th and Barbera and Miller were promoted into the points by Crutchlow and Pedrosa crashing.
A replay of the Pedrosa/Crutchlow crash shows Pedrosa took a look down the inside of the LCR bike for 11th and ended up losing it and skittling Crutchlow as he crashed.
Zarco, Lorenzo, Pirro and Iannone complete the top 10.
Bautista resists Marquez by just 0.083s to take fifth.
Petrucci gets a heroic home podium with the underdog Pramac team, with Rossi having to settle for fourth in front of his fans.
Vinales finishes second, 1.2s behind.

Dovizoso wins the Italian Grand Prix for Ducati at Mugello!

Pedrosa and Crutchlow collide!
Dovizioso extends his lead to 1.2s with just a few corners to go...
Rossi's podium hopes look remote - he's now 1.1s off Petrucci.
Dovizioso gets that lead up to a full second again. He's in sight of a home win for himself and Ducati.
Onto the last lap, Dovizioso carries a 0.9s lead...
Dovizioso does another best-of-the-race first sector but in the middle of the lap Vinales gets the Ducati's lead down to 0.7s.
Lorenzo is back up to eighth as both he and Pirro pass Iannone.
If anything, Rossi is falling away from Petrucci in third right now.
Dovizioso starts his penultimate lap 0.9s ahead of Vinales still.
Marquez is working very hard on Bautista for fifth.
Vinales bangs in the fastest sector two of the race so far to trim Dovizioso's lead to 0.9s.

That dice with Petrucci may have gone Vinales' way in the end, but he's now got a 1.2s gap to Dovizioso to close with just three laps to go.
Vinales manages to take second back from Petrucci with the help of a slipstream down the main straight.
Vinales takes a punt at Petrucci under braking but has to back out of it.

And Dovizioso further extends his advantage with a new best first sector so far.
The Yamahas have regrouped, they're both back onto Petrucci's tail for second. Dovizioso leads by 0.8s with five laps to go.
Vinales runs wide at the first corner, that loses him a lot of time to Dovizoso and Petrucci ahead.
Crash
The remaining Espargaro, Aleix, brings his Aprilia into the pits from last.
Petrucci is closing in on Dovizioso for the lead and bringing Vinales with him.
These two Ducatis at the front have a point to prove in the dry. Dovizioso two MotoGP wins have come in the wet, Petrucci has a podium to his name but it was also in the wet, at Silverstone in 2015.
Crutchlow now passes Pedrosa for 11th, with Rabat and Redding close behind, then Miller is fending off Folger and Barbera for the final point - though Folger now overtakes him.
Zarco isn't making any further progress from seventh, with Iannone, Lorenzo and Pirro chasing him.
Bautista remains fifth but can't shake off Marquez.

Eight laps left, Dovizioso leads by 0.5s over Petrucci, Vinales and Rossi.
