"You need the luck to go your way here and it did for us, but the guys behind had the tow."

A very impressive third-placed and Indy 500 rookie in Ed Jones is next to be interviewed by ESPN:

"I had a great car underneath me. We were fortunate with the yellows at the end, it was tough and I didn't have the pace to beat Takuma or Helio.

"I think those guys trimmed out a lot as I struggled to stay with them in the draft at the end."

Castroneves speaks to ESPN: "Unfortunately I was a little too short, congratulations to Takuma he drove a great race.

"I thought we had it, but I couldn't do it. I think I hit the throttle so hard, it was very back and forth out there.

"Next year then!"
