Crutchlow's attempt to get Pedrosa at Turn 10 has allowed Petrucci through.
Rins has pulled into pitlane. Unlucky end to his home race.
Petrucci ran wide at Turn 10 last time around, which promoted Crutchlow to fifth.
Crutchlow is having a good run. He is up to fifth and challenging Pedrosa.
Also, what will Dovi's crash do for this race? Marquez now has absolutely no need to challenge Lorenzo, who is just hammering out 1m40s for fun.
Dovi's demise promotes Rossi to third. That'll do nicely for his championship at this stage, given the bike still isn't quick enough to challenge the Honda and the Ducati.
What a difference a year makes. It was here one year ago Dovizioso became a serious title threat. Now it is his teammate who is in the midst of a resurgence.
Disaster for Dovizioso's championship charge. It's his third DNF of the season.
1m40.076s from Marquez last time around. He is keeping Lorenzo honest. Dovizioso a second back from Marquez now.
Vinales is still circulating in ninth ahead of Zarco. Vinales said he was going to use a new strategy of hard out and warm-up laps today to try and prepare his tyres better, but it looks not to have worked.
Onto lap six. Lorenzo leads Marquez still from Dovizioso, Rossi fourth, with Pedrosa a few seconds back in fifth.
Aleix Espargaro has crashed at Turn 11. Front end went away from him. His bike lucky not to come back onto the circuit.
Miller hasn't cracked the top 10 yet on his Pramac Ducati in 11th ahead of Rabat and Morbidelli. Smith has dropped down to 15th having run as high as seventh on lap one.
0.001s split Lorenzo and Marquez on laptimes last time around. Lorenzo leads Marquez, Dovizioso dropped a little last time around in third. Rossi still struggling to make inroads on the podium battle.
The top three are now 0.6s clear of Rossi now. Looks like the Yamaha rider's charge has faded already.
Dovizioso sets a fastest lap of 1m40.209s on lap three.
Iannone ran well wide at Turn 4 and has dropped down to seventh behind Pedrosa and Petrucci.
1m40.411s from Lorenzo. He still leads at the start of lap three from Marquez and Dovizioso. Rossi is closing in on this leading trio.
Lorenzo, Marquez, Dovizioso, Rossi, Iannone, Pedrosa, Petrucci, Smith, Crutchlow, Vinales is your top 10 at the end of lap two.
Lorenzo lunges into the lead at Turn 1. Dovizioso blitzes Iannone into Turn 1 for third. Meanwhile, Vinales has dropped from fourth to 10th after another terrible opening lap.
Iannone had a look at the lead, but ran wide at Turn 10 and let Marquez back through. Lorenzo back up to second.
Marquez has taken the lead into Turn 1, while Iannone goes second.
The television graphic showed Cal Crutchlow on a soft rear tyre. That is quite an unusual choice for the LCR rider.
We are just moments away from lights out. Soft/soft for Lorenzo and Dovi, Marquez on hard/hard. Row two on soft/soft, Rossi on soft/soft as well, while Zarco has gone with the medium rear tyre.
The Avintia bikes of Rabat and Simeon are running a black livery for the race as a mark of respect for Andreas Perez, the Avintia Academy rider who tragically lost his life in a crash during the CEV Moto3 race at Catalunya last weekend.
