Austin WEC, Loudon NASCAR

WEC - Austin: The cars are leaving the grid at the start of the formation lap, so we are about three minutes from the off.


A quick run-through of that GTE Pro top three: Senna/Mako are on pole in the #99 Aston Martin Vantage. Patrick Pilet and Jorg Bergmeister share the factory Manthey Porsche in second. Dalla Lana is third in the #98 Aston alongside Pedro Lamy and Richie Stanaway.
WEC - Austin: Not sure about the crowd here. Looks pretty sparse. Disappointing.
WEC - Austin: Makowiecki, Bergmeister and Dalla Lana are starting the top three GTE Pro cars.

WEC - Austin: McNish reckons Austin is Audi's track: "We were quick out of the box on Thursday, quick in the wet and, obviously, quick in qualifying." Toyota's hope is that it has the edge on tyre wear - something that looked on the cards before Sarrazin was taken off at Sao Paulo.
WEC - Austin: It's national anthem time. Be up standing, please, for the Star Spangled Banner, or whatever it is called.
WEC - Austin: Poleman Duval and Fassler are starting the two Audis, while it is Buemi's turn to go first in the Toyota. Martin and Brundle are ready to be strapped into the top two LMP2 cars, the #24 OAK Morgan and the #26 G-Drive/Delta-ADR.
WEC - Austin: The cars on the grid here at the splendid Circuit of the Americas. They're going to start clearing the grid in the minute. We're 28 minutes away from the start of round five of the WEC.
