Lap 40: Gutierrez has also been handed a drive-through penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage.
Lap 40: Grosjean is hanging onto seventh with Massa closing in on him, as Maldonado comes in to serve his 10s penalty.
Lap 40: Five laps remain in the Belgian Grand Prix.
Lap 39: Ricciardo has been charging his way through the midfield He passed Hulkenberg one lap ago and he since moved alongside and past team-mate Vergne for 11th position.
Lap 39: Hamilton is well behind Alonso now as he preserves rubber to the end, just 2.2 seconds clear over that Rosberg vs Webber fight.
Lap 38: Vettel continues to dominate out front, leading now by 11.3 seconds over Alonso.
Lap 38: The latest rain radar shows that there may be one or two drops at most during the remaining laps, with the nearest measurable rain now 11 miles from the circuit.
Lap 38: Button is the fastest man out there at the moment on his fresh tyres, but has a major gap to catch up Webber ahead.
Lap 37: Pastor Maldonado has been handed a 10 second stop-go penalty by the stewards for causing the collision that put di Resta out of the race.
Lap 36: Sutil has passed Perez and the German takes over ninth position in the Force India.
Lap 36: Hamilton is only 2.4 seconds ahead of Rosberg on the road and could be under threat from Webber as well, if he can get past the German first
Lap 36: Vergne has been tracking Hulkenberg since they last pitted. He finally gets the move done and is up into 11th position.
Lap 36: Webber is right on Rosberg now in that scrap over fourth place.
Lap 36: That puts Hamilton back up to third place, with Mercedes concerned by the advancing threat from Webber.
Lap 35: More hard tyres for Button and he resumes just ahead of one-stopping Grosjean in sixth place.
Lap 35: Button throws in the towel and pits his McLaren.
Lap 34: Meanwhile, Rosberg's pace is not stellar in fifth and he now has Webber all over his gearbox.
Lap 34: Hamilton is slowly closing on Button, so that's definitely going to be a battle before the end.
Lap 34: Chilton has been handed a drive-through penalty for ignoring blue flags.
Lap 33: Hulkenberg is 12th with Vergne 13th, Gutierrez 14th, Bottas 15th, Maldonado 16th, van der Garde 17th, Bianchi 18th and Chilton 19th.
Lap 33: Button does not have to stop again, but already has 14 laps on his set of hard tyres. He is told "plan A", which is likely to be one stop.
Lap 32: Behind the top six we have Grosjean in seventh, Massa eighth, Ricciardo ninth, Perez 10th and Sutil in 11th spot.
Lap 32: Hamilton is clocked 2.9 seconds behind Button and will have better rubber than his former team-mate in the closing stages.
Lap 32: Interestingly, Vettel is told to open the gap to Alonso, with Red Bull nervous of the threat of rain.
Lap 32: Chilton has been into the pits. He takes on hard tyres again and rejoins.
Lap 31: Button is now third on the road. If he can take those tyres to the end, he could pip Hamilton to the final podium place.
Lap 31: Alonso has just set the fastest lap on his fresh hards, with the lead gap clocked at a solid 6.5 seconds.
Lap 31: Hard tyres for Vettel and he's off again in the lead.
Lap 31: Replays show that Maldonado and Gutierrez were racing hard into the final chicane, resulting in the Venezuelan getting off line and having to take a wide exit.

Sutil managed to scrabble round the Williams driver as he recovered but di Resta was not so fortunate and was tagged as he rounded the Williams, suffering major damage. The Scot is fine as was able to walk back to the pits.
Lap 31: Vettel's lead is currently 26.4 seconds over Alonso, with the Red Bull man still to make his final stop, which he now does.
Lap 30: Webber is now in for his final stop.
Lap 30: Gutierrez and Bottas have also been into the pits, as di Resta walks in after that shunt.
Lap 29: Maldonado came into the pits with a damaged front wing. He has had that replaced and has rejoined.
Lap 29: Alonso has resumed third on the road, with the Red Bulls staying out as the debris from that crash is cleared.
Lap 29: Di Resta is out of the race with damage and the car is sitting just off the circuit. The marshals need to get onto that one quickly.
Lap 29: Gutierrez and Maldonado get extremely racy and there is contact at the final chicane involving Maldonado and innocent by-stander di Resta.
Lap 29: Nerves in the leading camps now as a safety car could be needed. Alonso reacts with a pitstop.
Lap 28: In fact, make that 13th place for Sutil as he loses another spot to Gutierrez, then Maldonado nips through.
Lap 28: Hamilton has resumed from his stop in fifth place and some clear air, but he will need to be careful on that set of tyres.
Lap 28: Sutil pits from what is now eighth position and he drops down the order to 12th, after taking on another set of hard tyres.
