Vettel carries on for another lap and moves up to second place with a time of 1m49.756s.
Vettel remains out on the circuit, despite running wide at the exit of Les Combes a couple of laps ago. He kicked up the dust and some gravel, but was able to continue on this run.
Alonso is fifth in the classification, 0.370s back, with Hamilton sixth, Ricciardo seventh, Webber eighth and Vettel ninth.
With 20 minutes to go it's Vergne at the head of the list, 0.280s ahead of Raikkonen in second, with Bottas third and Rosberg fourth.
Replays of Maldonado getting crossed up at the exit of Turn 9 at reasonably high speed, as he put the power down. He corrected and was able to continue.
Perez's car is back in one piece and he sets off again in the McLaren.
Button reports that his rear wing change has not worked, with the car still "draggy" and no improvement in pace.
Current pacesetter Vergne heads back out for another run - still on the hard tyre.
Webber is back out there and into a new flying lap, while Bottas leaves the pits for the first time since he posted that early benchmark.
Alonso slides wide at Curve Paul Frere and has pitted the Ferrari, having recently set the fastest time in the first sector.
Raikkonen slides wide at La Source as the odd spot of rain is felt over the pits.
More mechanic action at McLaren as the team make some fairly significant repairs on Perez's car. Button, meanwhile, is back on track.
Alonso tops the final sector as he comes around right on the pace of his previous best, fifth fastest at the moment.
Vettel came back in after completing seven laps. Hamilton is back out there now for another run. Di Resta is also on the circuit.

Vergne continues on for another lap. He goes fastest of all on the hard tyres that everyone else has been using thus far - 1m49.479s.
Many drivers in the pits at the moment as the teams check over data ahead of another run, with the rain keeping at bay for now.
A fractional improvement for Alonso next time by, but he does remain fourth for the moment while still seeking a balance on the Ferrari.
Vergne is the last to join the party. He crosses the line in 1m50.134s and goes 10th.
Vettel is finally getting on with it this morning. He moves up the order from 21st to eighth fastest with a time of 1m49.995s.
Alonso is now on his first run and has joined the order in fourth fastest with a best of 1m49.849s so far.
A better lap this time from Hamilton - but he spins at the final chicane! The British driver immediately bails and comes into the pits.
Turn 9, which is the famously un-named downhill left-hander after Rivage, seems to be catching out a few drivers this morning.
Vettel is back out there and he is into a timed lap. Vergne is also on track, but yet to post a time.
Massa reports understeer, which he is told relates to his hard tyres being cold. He then repeats di Resta's near miss of the Turn 9 wall.
Raikkonen slides around the final corner, depositing a small piece of debris on the front straight as he comes by a tenth slower.
Rosberg goes on and he moves ahead of team-mate Hamilton and into third with a time of 1m49.838s.
Some mechanical efforts in the McLaren garage as the team work at the rear of Button's car, having removed the rear wing.
Raikkonen leads the pack after 17 minutes with a time of 1m49.759s. Bottas is second with Hamilton third, Rosberg fourth and Button in fifth
Rosberg is over the line a few seconds later and he moves up into fourth, with a lap of 1m49.879s.
Hamilton continues out there and he moves up the order to third position with a time of 1m49.857s.
The droplets appear to have stopped for now, as di Resta loses control at Turn 9 and does well to avoid running into the barrier.

Meanwhile, Raikkonen comes around with a new best of 1m49.759s.
Hulkenberg slots in sixth fastest with a 1m51.108s effort after kicking up some soil on the exit of Turn 9.
Di Resta crosses the line and he goes fifth in the Force India with a time of 1m50.469s.
Rosberg was able to rejoin after taking a wide line through the run-off area. He has since posted a time of 1m54.167s to go 10th.
Rosberg is next to sail onwards at the tight right-handed hairpin and this has echoes of the famous qualifying session here back in 1995.
Hamilton rejoins and it may be raining just lightly over start-finish, as di Resta goes off at La Source.
Hard tyres of course in use at the moment, which teams discovered yesterday were around a second slower than the mediums.
One or two drops being picked up by Hamilton's on-board camera as he overshoots the final chicane completely.
Hamilton catches traffic in the form of Chilton through the Fagnes chicane, but he doesn't really lose much time.
