Speed Pleased With Pole
Scott Speed was remarkably calm after taking pole for tomorrow's first race in Barcelona despite setting a time that was almost half a second ahead of second placed Gianmaria Bruni

Despite receiving glowing reviews from a number of his competitors today, Speed wasn't getting carried away over the session, although he allowed: "I am quite pleased I've been quick from the start of the weekend, which is what you want."
The iSport driver suggested that he had suffered from a number of minor technical problems with his car, singling out his clutch and the electrics: "I had a problem after my hot lap I think it was the fuses again, and I was actually lucky to get back to the pits.
"And hopefully we can all get off the line tomorrow I've been having problems with my clutch we all have and I just want to make sure I can start tomorrow."
Despite this, Speed was generally hopeful for a good result tomorrow, noting: "That said I think that now that the problems are starting to be sorted out we'll see who is the quickest overall hopefully I can show what I can do."
