Premat Happy to Hold on to Second

ART driver Alexandre Premat was happy to have been able to hold onto second in the race from the same position on the grid after car problems slowed him down in the second race at Imola

The enthusiastic Frenchman was all smiles after the race, noting: "Definitely I am happy now because all through the race I had problems with the brakes as well as the water pressure.

"On every straight the water temperature gauge was too high. It's a shame because I wasn't able to fight with Nico, because he was four kilometres faster than me."

The highlight of the race for Premat was his battle with eventual race winner Adam Carroll, with the pair running side by side for a few laps. "It was great," Premat gushed. "The fight with Carroll I held him for two laps and I was strong.

"Unfortunately on the lap that he got me I understeered a little in turn eight so he was able to catch up and pass me, but I am so happy for all the mechanics and the team to finish on the podium.

"For the Championship it's good to get the points, and there are lots of fights with all of the drivers, so it's really great for the series."
