Lopez on top at Paul Ricard
Jose Maria Lopez emerged the fastest of the GP2 runners after the second and final day of their mid-season test at Paul Ricard in France
The Super Nova International driver went quicker than Timo Glock's best from yesterday by eight tenths of a second in this morning's three-hour session.
Lopez, who holds the track's lap record, produced a lap of 1:13.728 to beat championship contender Nelson Piquet Jr to the fastest time of the test.
Piquet's time of 1:13.774 was good enough to be quickest of all in the afternoon's session, however.
Timo Glock continued to show the impressive from he has displayed since joining iSport International with the third quickest time of the day, as most teams conducted race simulations. Glock had been second quickest to Lopez in the morning session.
Andreas Zuber was the fourth quickest with his morning session time, where the top 25 drivers were covered by 1.5 seconds.
The next round of the GP2 Series is at Magny Cours on July 15.
