Leinders joins Kid Jensen for 2000
F3000 squad, Kid Jensen Racing, has signed up Bas Leinders up for 2000.
The 24-year-old Belgian, who raced with the Witmeur team in the series last season, will race alongside Italian Andrea Piccini at the fledging team.
'I am extremely pleased to join Kid Jensen Racing,' said Leinders, 'race winner and best rookie team of the 1999 championship.
'Both Kid Jensen Racing and I have acquired a lot of experience in our first season in Formula 3000 last year.
'I am confident that we are in a good position to win more races together this year.'
Team principle David Jensen stated the outfit would be looking to build on its first year of success in the category with Leinders.
'Bas' track record speaks for itself and having had the benefit of a learning season in Formula 3000, he will be a force to be reckoned with this year.
'Having Bas join up with Andrea shows that Kid Jensen Racing intends to build on the podium success of last year.'
