Rossiter, Porsche's Makowiecki get Techeetah FE Marrakech test drives
Porsche driver Frederic Makowiecki and Lexus Super GT frontrunner James Rossiter will test for the Techeetah Formula E team in Marrakech next month
Makowiecki has experience of FE's current electric single-seater and the next-generation racer that is being developed for 2018/19, thanks to series tyre supplier Michelin using him as a development driver.
Rossiter tested for the Venturi team as he pursued a race seat for the 2017/18 season. The Briton will take over Andre Lotterer's #18 Renault Z.E.17, while Makowiecki will drive Jean-Eric Vergne's #25 machine.
"I am very happy that Techeetah has given me the chance to try a Formula E car during rookie test in Marrakech," said Makowiecki.
"I've followed the championship from the beginning as I am interested by new technology and strategy. The show on track is always great too.
"It will be a new experience and I can't wait to jump in the car."
Rossiter (above) added that he was "very grateful" for the opportunity, which will come on Sunday January 14 after the FE race on the Saturday.
Techeetah is the latest team to confirm its FE test line-up, after Andretti announced BMW DTM star Bruno Spengler and Indy Lights driver Colton Herta and Audi picked its own DTM driver Nico Muller and McLaren-supported Formula 2 racer Nyck de Vries.
Formula Renault Northern European Cup champion Michael Benyahia will drive one of Venturi's cars.
Mahindra will hand simulator driver Sam Dejonghe some on-track mileage and run Dani Juncadella again after fielding the Spaniard at Valencia in pre-season testing.
F2 racers Alexander Albon and Jordan King, plus Formula V8 3.5 champion Pietro Fittipaldi, have also been linked with drives in the test.
