Sutil Concedes Defeat to Hamilton
Adrian Sutil has conceded defeat to ASM teammate Lewis Hamilton in the battle for the 2005 F3 Euroseries championship title
Hamilton had his first perfect weekend of the season at last weekend's Norisring meeting, converting his two pole positions into two wins. He has a 43-point lead over Sutil with nine victories from 12 races, and can theoretically clinch the title at the next round at the Nurburgring.
Sutil, who left the Norisring with only eight points for second place, after retiring from the first race with engine dramas, told Autosport-Atlas: "I will now have concentrate to keep second. I will keep on pushing as it is only over when it's over and I don't give up.
"The gap to the front is big but it is no reason to give up, so I keep on pushing and try to drive as hard as possible."
Sutil blamed driving errors for his inability to keep up with Hamilton in Norisring's second race. He added: "I made a big mistake on the second lap in last corner. I missed the braking point and went straight on.
"Then there was a big gap, and I tried to catch Hamilton, I got closer and in the end I made one more mistake. I tried to make no mistakes to catch him."
