Sato: 'Victory wasn't perfect'
Macau Grand Prix winner Takuma Sato has refused to hail his victory inSunday's blue-ribband event as perfect - because he wasn't quickest in every session
The British Formula 3 Champion had no complaints about taking a dominant victory around the streets of the Chinese principality - but claimed it could have been even better.
"The perfect weekend would be like the Marlboro Masters in Zandvoort where I completely dominated the two qualifying days and then won the race," he said. "This time I felt a bit different because I didn't do the quickest time in qualifying."
Sato also admitted that the discipline needed to take victory around the streets of Macau will be invaluable training for when he graduates to F1 with Jordan next year.
"I was just enjoying my driving, I took no risks and didn't make any mistakes in this race," he added. "It was just a fantastic, fantastic race. You have to push 100 percent all the time but it is good training for next year, for sure.
"The competition was really high, with every driver and every country represented, and this is why I was so happy to race here."
