Sato storms to Silverstone victory

Carlin Motorsport's rising Japanese star led from start to finish. Championship leader Antonio Pizzonia was back on form after a recent difficult patch, but could not get close to Sato and had to be content with second place.

Gianmaria Bruni was third for Fortec, holding off Tomas Scheckter. The Stewart driver, who tested the Jaguar Formula 1 car earlier in the week, lost ground to Pizzonia in the title chase and now lies 35 points behind his Brazilian rival.
