Jimmy Eriksson steps up to GP3 with Status
German Formula 3 champion Jimmy Eriksson will step up to the GP3 Series this year with Status GP

Eriksson, 21, will become the first Swede to race in GP3 this year and is the first driver confirmed in the Status line-up for 2013.
"I'm very excited about this new challenge and about the prospect of racing in a championship which is part of the Formula 1 experience," said Eriksson.
"I had a strong season in Formula 3 last year, and I'm really looking forward to build on that momentum with Status in 2013.
"They have a good reputation and have demonstrated that they are serious about our collaboration, and with a new car coming in this year, this is definitely the right time for me to enter the GP3 arena."
Eriksson won eight times on his way to last year's German F3 crown for the Motopark-run Lotus team. He also finished 11th at the Macau Grand Prix for the British Double R squad.
