Hamilton on Pole at Zandvoort

Lewis Hamilton demonstrated that he intends to wrap up this season's F3 Euroseries crown at this weekend's Zandvoort round by securing pole position for Sunday's race

Hamilton, who won the Marlboro Masters of Formula Three meeting at the Dutch track in June, was more than half a second quicker than Manor Motorsport's Lucas Di Grassi.

The ASM driver now has a 38-point lead over teammate Adrian Sutil, and just has to score six more points than the German this weekend to secure the crown, with two meetings and four races remaining.

Sutil was third in practice, sixth tenths down on his teammate, and will need to improve if he is to keep his hopes alive of snatching the crown.

The three were in a different class to the rest of the field, with fourth placed Sebastian Vettel more than a second off Hamilton's pace.
