Double R pair top Snetterton test
Double R pairing Daisuke Nakajima and Carlos Huertas set the pace during the second day of the first official British Formula 3 pre-season test at Snetterton today
With conditions much improved compared to the first day of running on Wednesday, Honda-backed Japanese driver Nakajima lapped the Norfolk track in 1m02.109s - within 0.04s of last season's pole time, to lead the way.
Nakajima edged out his Colombian team-mate Huertas by just 0.008s, while Carlin trio Adriano Buzaid, Jean-Eric Vergne, and wet weather pacesetter James Calado, locked out the next three places.
Fortec's Oli Webb was fastest in the damp morning session, but damaged a wheel during the drier afternoon running and wound up seventh fastest, just behind Hitech rookie Will Buller.
T-Sport team-mates Menasheh Idafar and James Cole once again led the National Class.
