Daniel Juncadella takes both Brands F3 Euro poles
Daniel Juncadella dominated F3 Euro Series qualifying at Brands Hatch to take a pair of pole positions for the weekend's races
The championship leader was a factor throughout the 30 minutes and put his Prema Powerteam Dallara-Mercedes into the top spot in a 41.181s lap by the time most of the field pitted for fresh tyres at the halfway point.
Afterwards he set three faster times to end up on pole for Sunday's third race with a lap in 40.887s. Not only that, but his second best time of 40.926s was also better than anybody else could manage, meaning that he will also start Saturday's first race from the front. The race two grid order will be based on the race one finishing order with the top eight reversed.
Pau Grand Prix winner Raffaele Marciello completed an all-Prema front row for both races with times 0.272s and 0.252s slower than his more experienced team-mate.
Carlin's Will Buller was the best of the Volkswagen-powered drivers and will start each race from third, alongside Prema's Michael Lewis.
Buller's team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr will start race one from sixth, right behind Pascal Wehrlein's Mucke car. However, it is the Spaniard who will start race three in fifth spot, with Wehrlein's team-mate Felix Rosenqvist also ahead of the German.
The best of the British Formula 3 interlopers, who are not registered for Euro Series or FIA European F3 Championship points, was Carlin's Jazeman Jaafar in eighth overall and for race three. He will start race one from only 11th though.
Angola Racing's Luis Sa Silva crashed at Paddock and brought out the red flags with less than three minutes to go. By the time the car had been removed and the tyre wall repaired, it had begun to rain. Nobody was therefore able to improve on their previous lap times, although many did go out to scrub in a set of wet tyres.
