Conway triumphs in Macau GP
British Formula Three champion Mike Conway won an incident filled Macau Grand Prix on Sunday
The Briton, who started seventh, seized the lead on the opening lap when Kamui Kobayashi and Marko Asmer were put down the escape road at Lisboa after being slid into by Paul di Resta, who then spun.
After a brief safety car period, caused by the wreckage of a collision between di Resta and Rodolfo Avila, Conway pushed hard to pull away from the chasing pack.
Despite brushing the wall at one point, American Richard Antinucci became Conway's closest challenger in the end, having charged through the field.
Antinucci had been sixth early on but came through with some brave overtaking moves. And although it appeared that the ASM driver had the pace to close in on the leader, he ultimately crossed the line 1.4 seconds behind.
Japanese F3 champion Adrian Sutil finished third, having been unable to hold off Antinucci and brushing wheels with his rival on lap eight.
Several of the front-runners hit trouble. Pole man Kobayashi collided with Romain Grosjean on lap nine, while Kohei Hirate - who had challenged Conway early on - hit the wall on the penultimate lap.
