Gabby Chaves posted the quickest time of the day in GP3 testing at the Silverstone circuit on Tuesday

Chaves tops Silverstone testing

The Addax team driver's 1m51.449s, set in the afternoon session, was enough to put him on top of the times, over a tenth of a second ahead of Nico Muller in the Jenzer Motorsport car.

In what was the second of three pre-season tests for GP3, Lotus ART's Valtteri Bottas finished as third quickest with the fastest time of the morning session. Lewis Williamson in the Arden car and Alexander Sims in the Status Grand Prix machine completed the top five.

Adrian Quaife-Hobbs and Mitch Evans caused the two red flags of the day in the afternoon session, with rain hitting the circuit later on to keep American Chaves on top.
