Brands qual 2: Kerr doubles up
Not content with his maiden British Formula 3 Championship pole position earlier, Alan Docking Racing's Robbie Kerr did it again in the second session at Brands Hatch today (Saturday)
He lapped his Dallara-Mugen in 42.456s, a tenth clear of Carlin's Michael Keohane. The latter lost the final few minutes of the session due to a broken throttle cable, but didn't think he could have got pole anyway.
Championship leader and regular pole sitter James Courtney resolved some of the handling issues he had with his Carlin Motorsport car, but blamed traffic this time for his third quickest lap. Fabio Carbone (Fortec) and Bruce Jouanny (Promatecme) rounded out the top five ahead of the first Scholarship class runner, Clivio Piccione.
Piccione's closest class challenger is Adam Carroll (Sweeney), who remembered to get up in time for this session, but will start from three places further back from his Monegasque rival.
