Asmer on pole for Snetterton race 2
Hitech Racing's Marko Asmer bounced back from a disappointing first qualifying session to take pole for the second of tomorrow's Sunday British F3 races at Snetterton
The championship leader regained his usual form for this afternoon's session, which was interrupted by a red flag after several cars threw it into the scenery at Riches halfway through the 30-minute session.
None were front-runners, however, and the usual suspects dominated the sharp end of the grid.
Sam Bird was second, fastest of the Carlin Motorsport hordes, just ahead of his teammate Alberto Valerio.
Race one pole-sitter Atte Mustonen will line up fourth after surviving a frightening grassy moment at the exit of Riches.
Maro Engel and Sebastian Hohenthal completed the most laps of the top contenders, but could only manage fifth and sixth respectively.
