ASM pair play down collision
ASM teammates Kamui Kobayashi and Romain Grosjean, who scored a one-two in this morning's Formula Three Euro Series race, have shrugged off their last lap collision at Magny-Cours
The duo also collided at the last round at the Norisring, and Grosjean said he was certainly not trying to remove the opposition as he had done inadvertently a week ago.
"He missed his braking point, so I was trying to avoid him," said Grosjean, who spun but recovered to finish second.
"I threw the car to the inside, but got a big oversteer. I did everything I could to avoid him, but hit him!
"I was not trying to pass him at all; I was happy with second because I was thinking about the championship."
Kobayashi, whose win was his first in two seasons in the F3 Euro Series, admitted he had missed his braking point.
"I thought he cannot pass me on the last lap, but then I missed my braking," he said.
"It was a hard race, but I was always confident I would win it. And this is the best race of the year to win, in front of all the F1 teams."
